LitterMaid Waste Receptacles Review

Littermaid LMR300 Receptacles, 18-Pack

The cost of replacement of waste receptacles is not cheap. Most users opt to put a lining on the receptacles so that it can be reused instead of being thrown away after a single use. It can be used together with the waste bagging system and storage cart for LitterMaid for a huge added capacity to collecting waste. This makes it possible for the litter box to run unattended for weeks at a time or serve multiple cats.

One way of preventing loose litter and waste from shooting upward when removing the waste tab is to use the brush first then cover the tub. It should be lifted gently from one side or pull the tub forward from under the perforated front tabs before lifting. A little litter on or around the box or small pieces of buried waste is sometimes visible, even with the use of an automated litter box.

Keeping a small mat in front of the box right under the waste receptacle or placing the entire litter box on a piece of carpet will keep stray litter from spreading. A hand vacuum kept nearby is very handy for minor litter spills.
